Getting Involved

Serve, or be served! Bible Baptist Church offers many avenues to minister to your whole family. We have described many of our ministries in the sections at left. It is a challenge to step into a church and get to know people and become involved. Helping you get connected is a priority to us.

For those who are already members or regular attenders, we hope these pages will help you catch a vision for becoming an active and contributing person or family in our fellowship. The returns are great - a deeper relationship with Christ and a stronger bond with a local family of believers - but we must not rely only on others to carry the ministry forward. There is a place of ministry for you!

We have identified three ways we want to encourage you to get connected:

1. Get Connected to God
Involvement in a Bible-believing local church is a spiritual exercise, and not merely a social one. For that reason, we invite you to come and hear the Word of God, and if you have not already done so, begin your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Sunday morning messages often offer opportunities to respond to the urging of God's Spirit to turn your heart upward and become a child of His. Personal counsel with pastoral staff is readily available apart from these times of corporate worship as well. Individual training in Bible basics is available to help you understand what it means to be a Christian and to develop your relationship with God.

2. Get Connected to God's People
While we strive to welcome all who come to worship with us, we want to get to know you, and invite you to get to know us. We encourage you to attend special times of fellowship including our weekly prayer meeting, periodic fellowship dinners, or other activities that may be available such as small-group Bible studies, church family sports activities, and special events like conferences and summer fairs.

3. Get Connected to God's Work
Each of us is uniquely designed by God with special gifts and abilities. We want to help you discover yours! There are many areas of service available, most of which require a heart willing to serve and not endless work or formal ministry training. Some of the ministries described on these pages may be a perfect fit for you - and if you have a vision or need for something you don't see here, please feel free to contact us.
