Bible Baptist Church exists
"For the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ"

This "byline" of our ministry can be found in the visitor's packet you'd receive should you visit us, and on other various publications of the church. But it isn't a fancy marketing slogan or just other fluffy words to entice you or to puff ourselves up. It comes from the text of Revelation 1:9 as the apostle John's reason for being banished to the island of Patmos, where he was imprisoned. We at Bible Baptist Church both worship and serve together corporately and more importantly, have life and a personal relationship with God because of Jesus Christ. We exist to extol His Word and to learn from and live out His testimony before the world.

We provide this portion of our web site as a resource both for those who believe and for those who don't. We feel it is important for a person not only to know what we believe, but why we believe it. So in sharing what we believe, and the Biblical background to it, we hope to encourage you to consider why you believe the things that you do. Scholars and historians, politicians and poets, and many others through the years have all devised or propogated systems of belief. There is no system of belief in the world that can exist without faith. Are you trusting that as a human you have the value and worth within you to stand on your own before God when your name is called? Or, do you believe that there is no ultimate authority you will answer to, and that your life and everything in it was formed and shaped by your own devices, or by chance? Why do you believe what you do?

Our church attempts to help people find answers to life's problems through God's Word. It is our guidebook for life, and we strive to make it central in all that we do. Because of that, you will find Bible references throughout our web site in various sections. If you see a verse that is marked with a dotted underline (this may appear differently on older web browsers), click on it for a link that will open a separate window for you to read the verses and their context from an online Bible text.

God's Message
This page aims to summarize Biblically the very core of our faith, the Gospel of Christ, which is "the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16).

Changed Lives
When you are called to be a "witness," as in the case of a legal proceeding, you are asked to give a "testimony" - that is, to tell what you have seen. Find here short versions of the personal testimonies of some of our church members that will put a personal face on the wonderful truth described above: that you can have forgiveness and eternal life through belief in Jesus Christ.
